Ecological Maintenance

TNG CENTRE® has adopted a clear new orientation that integrates the latest advices given by The Gyalwang Karmapa, His Holiness Orgyen Trinley Dorje  on the subject of environmental protection.

We credit Eco-Buddhism to be much more than a new fashion issued from dualistic judgmental orientation as we face more and more worldwide ecological disasters.

It is the outcome amongst the Buddhist communities, of a responsible attitude that rest on a definite decision to adopt a carefully planned consummation policy.

This policy is regularly revised so that it may better respond to needs that are progressively reduced by a steady concern for “being-content-with-less”.

It also innovates selective environmental-friendly actions in the production of goods as well as in the maintenance of the facilities being used by the community.

Amongst these:

  1. The practice bio-gardening aiming at self-sustenance established through wwoofing programs giving an exchange with the Dharma community;
  2. The use of eco-friendly cleaning agents and building materials.

The middle path here applies in non-advocating nutritional systems for which the worldwide population does not qualify. This brings inevitably to abandon extreme response to problem by advocating solutions that can only apply to rich minorities.
