Ringu Tulku Rinpoche received his training from many esteemed masters, including His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa and His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
He completed his formal studies at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology in Gangtok and the Sampurnananda Sanskrit University in Varanasi, India. Following his education, Rinpoche served as a Professor of Tibetology in Sikkim for 25 years.
For over forty years, Rinpoche has generously shared his knowledge at Dharma Centres across Europe, the USA, and Asia. He has authored several commentaries on important topics, presenting their core teachings in a clear and accessible style.
In 2012, Lama Sangyay Tendzin introduced the TNG Sangha to Ringu Tulku Rinpoche during the Kagyud Ngag-Dzöd transmission by His Eminence Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche at Ralang Monastery in Sikkim.
During his first visit to Theg-Chog Norbu Ling®, Rinpoche will offer teachings on the fundamental meditation practice of calm abiding (Samatha or Zhinay). This practice helps develop the mind's flexibility, stability, calmness, and clarity, supporting progress on the path to enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.
