As one of the many facets of his Dharma activity, Lama Sangyay Tendzin brings his students to accompany him in pilgrimage to the most sacred buddhist sites of the Himalayas.
He usually combines these short pilgrimages with taking part in major Dharma transmissions given by the main Lineage Masters.
- In 2004, in conjunction with attending the Kagyud Monlam Chenmo in Bodh-Gaya, Lama took a group of sangha members on a week pilgrimage to visit Bodh-Gaya, the seat of Enlightenment, Lumbini the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Rajghir, the Vulture Peak where the Buddha delivered the Heart Sutra, Nalanda the famous university, Kushinaghar, the place of Parinirvana (passing away of the Buddha).

- In 2012, in order to attend the Kagyud Ngag-Dzöd bestowed by His Eminence Gyaltsab Rinpoche, Lama took a group of 40 students to his seat, the Ralang monastery in Sikkhim. On the way there they visit the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche at Lava monastery, His place of residence. After the transmission, they visited His Holiness Karmapa at the Gyurtö monastery near Dharmasala, His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche at His monastic seat of Palpung-Sherab Ling and Tso-Padma, the sacred place of Guru Rinpoche near the town of Mandi.

- In 2014, while attending with a group of TNG Sangha, the Dam-Ngag Dzöd transmission bestowed by His Eminence Drubwang Sangyay Nyenpa Rinpoche, Lama took the group to visit the three most sacred stupas of the valley, Bodhnath, Swayambunath and NamoBuddha. At this occasion, they paid respect to Most Venerable Khenchen Thrangu RInpoche.

- In 2018, accompanied by a small group of sangha members, Lama Sangyay Tendzin attended the Ka-wangs bestowed by His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche in Bodh-Gaya. There, they visited the place where, prior to his enlightenment, Lord Buddha was offered curd by Laksmi. They also visited the nearby Mahakala cave.

- In 2019, Lama attended the Kagyud Monlam iled by Ven. Ringu Tulku in Paris.

- Later in August, Lama took a group of 25 sangha members to circumambulate the Mount Kailash in Tibet. During this most sacred pilgrimage, they visited the Jokhang temple founded in Lhasa by the great king Songtsen Gampo; Drolma Lhakang, the seat of Glorious Atisha in the Nyetang valley; The Chimpuk Hermitage of Guru Rinpoche and His 25 disciples; The Samye Monastery founded by King Tritson Detsen; the Kyu monastery near the lake Manasarovar; The Draphuk monastery, place of retreat of Milarepa and the Pretapuri mandala with its most sacred Vajrayogini Temple.
