THE KARMAPA : His Holiness Orgyen Thrinley Dorje

The Karmapa was the first recognized "Tulku" in Tibet. Briefly defined, a "Tulku"is the reincarnation of an enlightened master.

A particularity of The Karmapa is that he is the only tulku to "recognize himself by himself", in the sense of providing in a written legacy,  the whereabouts of His next Incarnation prior to passing into parinirvana.

Reincarnation of the great Indian Mahasiddha Saraha, the Karmapa appeared in Tibet as predicted by Buddha Sakyamuni himself in the Samadhi Raja Sutra.

 His Holiness is the embodiment of the activity of all the Buddhas in the three times and ten directions.
