One of the main activities conducted by Lama Sangyay Tendzin since coming to Europe in the late nineties has been the establishment of THEG-CHOG NORBU LING®, a Dharma Centre hosting a mixed community of Monks, nuns, Upasakas and Upasikas as well as laypeople.

To make this a reality, Lama Sangyay Tendzin involved his time and skills to conduct progressively the construction of the various facilities composing TNG-Centre® today.

Over more than 20 years, an enormous list of tasks has been completed: from the renovation of a few existing ruins to the building of several new facilities meeting the needs of a growing community of residents.

Building and maintaining boarding facilities with a current hosting capacity of several dozen people as well as building and developping self-sustainable means of subsistance for our community of residents was a multitasking challenge that was met with success.

State-of-the-Art construction work, environmental protection and sustainable biodynamic agriculture providing exquisite nourishment, are so many aspects contributing to a healthy lifestyle that supports ideally the development of spiritual growth.

The target has been completed by a team of benevolent members who acquired progressively the needed skills under Lama’s guidance: an achievement that came about in a most harmonious way through the practice of Karma Yoga, a practice based on mindfulness aquired by regular learning and daily meditation training in the wisdom of Tibetan Buddha Dharma.

Anyone entering the premises today is struck by its beauty and harmony. The pervading serenity pervading THEG-CHOG NORBU LING® embraces the visitor at first sight and invites spontaneously to appreciate and join this manifestation of inner peace based on kindness and discipline.
